Stick together

"I think it was one of those reasons Chris and I were so close. We learned to count on each other when Mom and Dad weren't getting along" (Krakauer 107).

The dynamics of family:

I can personally relate to this quote because I used to rely on my older brother Kyle for everything, when were kids. For Instance, my brother was the one who taught me how to swing a baseball bat when we would play whiffle ball as kids. Another experience, is that when we were in middle school his job was to make sure I didn't get bullied or pushed around, so he would come up to me during the day and ask if I have had a good day! He wouldn't always get me the present I always wanted for Christmas, but I look back now and realize that he would do all the little things to make sure I was okay. When we got older and my parents got tougher especially on Kyle and I, Kyle was always my shield when it came to those arguments and he would step in and protect me. I haven't really realized this until he went off to college where I realized I was on my own. I thank God everyday because he gave me the best older brother anyone could ask for.
